Terms of use
The work submitted is original and respects the mandatory Author’s guidelines as per the following questions:
Does the entry respect the Winepunk Chronology and Concept?
Does the entry have Winepunk elements or associates with them?
Does the entry respect the ‘encyclopaedia’ format approach and length?
The Author(s) accepts that the HYP encyclopaedia is an open-access collective creative writing work under the CC-BY-NC-ND license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/deed.en), and by submitting your work you agree for your work to be under this license.
This means that anyone can copy and redistribute the ‘encyclopaedia entries’, i.e., your original submitted work, but to do so it needs to respect the following terms:
Attribution — they must give you appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made (these changes can be done in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor/author endorses you or your use);
NonCommercial — they may not use the material for commercial purposes;
NoDerivatives — If they remix, transform, or build upon the material, they may not distribute the modified material;
No additional restrictions — they may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
The HYP project and the author cannot revoke these freedoms as long as the license terms are followed.
The Author accepts for its work to be available at the HYP creative writing collaborative encylopaedia, under the CC-BY-NC-ND license, for a period of 30 years, or before, if the encyclopaedia is removed from the web.
The Author(s) accepts that the Winepunk Universe (concept and chronology) are copyrighted by Invicta Imaginaria. Under the framework of the HYP Project, the Invicta Imaginaria allows for the use of the Winepunk Universe concept and chronology to be used for the sole purpose of developing original creative writing texts to be incorporated in the HYP project as ‘encyclopaedia entries’. There is no authorisation to resource to any part or character of the Winepunk Universe outside these boundaries.
The data collected about you on the registration form – gender, nationality, age group and level of education – and the other information that will be associated with the submission of your story, as indicated in the ‘Submissions Guide’ – will be treated confidentially by the HYP Project team and used for the following purposes:
– statistical analysis of the HYP Project dissemination, measures of success, and outreach;
– scientific and/or academic research purposes, related with the aims, purposes, and framework of the HYP project and its cultural outputs (e.g., the creative writing collaborative encyclopeadia).
This data will be kept by the team in pseudonymised format (i.e. separate from the identity of the author(s), but associated with it by a code) for a period of 30 years, or until the encyclopaedia is discontinued, whichever comes first. Storing the data in this way is a precautionary measure in the event that it becomes necessary to prove that the data is genuine and corresponds to real people.
Under no circumstances will the contact details of the author(s) be made available to anyone outside the HYP project team, unless their consent is sought and obtained. If the author(s) indicate(s) at the time of submission that they wish to remain anonymous in the encyclopaedia (or if they request anonymity at a later date), this wish will be honoured and only the HYP project will know the identity of the author(s) for curatorial and validation purposes.
The author(s) may be contacted in the HYP registration area to participate in surveys, receiving a notification message to the email address provided, if they have ticked that they authorise contact for this purpose.
